Overview
The Registration Member Lookup can be included on the registration form and allows registrants to search for their membership record within an organization’s membership database.
Description
The registrant stays on the Eventscribe Registration form throughout validation. They enter credentials, either email address or member ID, and we query the the membership system's endpoints to pull the information needed for membership validation and registration pricing.
You are able to use the following member fields to set the registration pricing structure:
- Member Category
- Member Sub-Categories
- Member Level
- Member Status (Active or Non-Member)
Lookup Methods:
The following lookup methods are supported:
- Email address
- Note, if the membership system does not have a unique email constraint, the member lookup will only display the first email returned
- Member ID

- Individual
Member ID Requirements
Member ID acts as the unique identifier between Eventscribe Registration and the membership system and must be returned in the following format:
- Numerical integer value
- Maximum of 10 digits
IMPORTANT NOTE
Eventscribe Registration does NOT support leading zeros (e.g. 0012345). If leading zeros are included in the Member ID, Eventscribe Registration will trim the leading zeros and store the Member ID without them (e.g. 12345).
