Overview
Cadmium pulls exhibiting company information and booth assignments from a third-party expo management system into Expo Harvester on a scheduled basis for data management purposes only. The default frequency is daily but can be customized to hourly closer to the event.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The third-party system remains the system of record, and exhibitors cannot log in to Expo Harvester to submit information or complete tasks.
Considerations
- The integration pulls basic company and booth data only and does not support product information or booth staff. See field mapping below.
- If a client offers booth sharing or pavilions (multiple exhibitors associated with the same booth), we need to discuss the data structure in advance to ensure we can meet expectations.
- Co-exhibitors and additional listings that need to show in the mobile app require a product specialist to manually create hidden booths. A cutoff date for the data pull must be established, as continuing to pull data will overwrite this manual work.
- Once the integration is complete, it is the client's responsibility to audit the list and ensure all expected companies are being pulled in.
- We encourage periodic spot checks comparing counts between Expo Harvester and the third-party system, especially closer to the event.
- Floor plans cannot be integrated automatically but can be manually mapped in Expo Harvester. Booth assignments will update automatically with each data pull; however, changes to the floor plan itself (cutting and merging booths, etc.) must be updated manually by the client.
