Overview
Cadmium pulls presentation and speaker data from a third-party education management system into Education Harvester on a scheduled basis for data management purposes only. The default frequency is daily but can be customized to hourly closer to the event.
IMPORTANT NOTE
The third-party system remains the system of record, and speakers cannot log in to Education Harvester to submit information or complete tasks.
Considerations
- The integration pulls presentation and speaker data only and does not support asset files such as headshots, handouts, presentation slides, or recordings. See field mapping below.
- Presentations are not required to have associated presenters. Presentations without presenters (such as networking breaks, meals, or exhibit hall time) will pull into the schedule and display correctly.
- Once the integration is complete, it is the client's responsibility to audit the schedule and ensure all expected presentations and speakers are being pulled in.
- We encourage periodic spot checks comparing counts between Education Harvester and the third-party system, especially closer to the event.
- The Education Harvester users list only displays users currently assigned to a presentation. If a user has been unassigned from a presentation in the source system, that user will no longer appear in the Education Harvester users list, so user counts between the two systems may not match exactly.
